This Privacy Policy applies to the OKIA website at www.Okiasurfing.com (collectively, the "Website") and any phone and mail operations concerning processing orders and questions about products or services as our marketing contacts with you.

We take data protection very seriously and abide by the UK DATA PROTECTION ACT, EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other relevant privacy laws that govern our jurisdiction. The data controller within the meaning of Article 4 (7) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) responsible for processing your data is OKIA.

To create anonymous data.  We may create aggregated, de-identified, or other anonymous data records from your personal information and other individuals whose personal information we collect.  We make personal information into anonymous data by excluding information (such as your name) that makes the data personally identifiable to you.  We may use this anonymous data and share it with third parties for our lawful business purposes to analyze and improve the Service and promote our business.

Advertising partners.  Third-party advertising companies collect information about your activity on the Site and other online services to help us advertise our services and use hashed customer lists we share to deliver ads to similar users on their platforms. 

Third-party platforms.  Social media and other third-party platforms that you connect to the Service, such as when you use options to access the Service by logging into a social media platform.  Please note that we do not control the third party’s use of your personal information.

The public.  Other users of the Service and the public when you disclose personal information for public use. We do not control how other users or third parties use any personal information that you make available to them. Please be aware that any publicly posted information can be cached, copied; screen captured o,r stored elsewhere by others (e.g., search engines) before you can edit or remove it.

Professional advisors.  Professional advisors, such as lawyers, bankers, auditors, and insurers, were necessary for the professional services they rendered to us.

Authorities and others.  As we believe in good faith, law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties are necessary or appropriate to comply with the law or for the compliance, fraud prevention, and safety purposes described above.

Advertising Choices.  You may opt out of interest-based advertising.

Privacy settings and location data.  Users of our App can disable our access to their device’s precise geo-location in their mobile device settings.

Third-party platforms or social media networks.  Choose to create an account through or connect the Service with another third-party platform. Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Services. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its advertising network.

You can opt out of having made your activity on the Services available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

OKIA is headquartered in Guatemala and may have service providers in other countries. The data can transfer to other countries.

CHILDREN

We do not knowingly collect information about children under 18 through the Service.  If we learn that we have collected the personal data of a child without the consent of the child’s parent or guardian, as required by law, we will delete it.

Personal information that we collect, use, and share.  We do not sell personal information.  As we explain in this Privacy Policy, we use cookies and other tracking tools to analyze website traffic and facilitate advertising.

How to exercise your California rights.  You may exercise your California privacy rights described above as follows:

  • Right to information, access, and deletion. Please feel free to request to exercise your data, access, and deletion rights by emailing Okiasurfing@gmail.com.We reserve the right to confirm your California residence to process your requests and will need to verify your identity to process your requests to exercise your information; as part of this process, government identification may be required.  Consistent with California law, you may designate an authorized agent to request on your behalf. To select an authorized agent to bid on your behalf, you must provide a valid power of attorney, the requester’s valid government-issued identification, and the authorized agent’s valid government-issued identification.  We cannot process your request if you do not provide us with sufficient detail to allow us to understand and respond to it.

  • Request a list of third-party marketers. California’s “Shine the Light” law (California Civil Code § 1798.83) allows California residents to ask companies with whom they have formed a business relationship primarily for personal, family, or household purposes to provide certain information about the companies’ sharing of certain personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the preceding year (if any).  You can submit such a request by emailing ___@Okiasurfing.com with “Shine the Light” in the subject line.  The request must include your current name, street address, city, state, and zip code and attest that you are a California resident.

We can only process your request if you provide us with enough detail so we can understand and respond to it.

Sharing your personal information

We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others by the CCPA. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates, and advertisers for the above purposes.

Right to Lodge a Complaint

Our supervisory authority is the ICO, and you have the right to complain to them if you do not feel we have adequately upheld your rights under the GDPR. Contact details for the ICO can be found at www.ico.org.uk.

In addition to complaining to the ICO, where you feel we have breached your rights and the privacy of your data, you are also entitled to pursue action against us in the courts or other legitimate legal forums, such as arbitration or dispute resolution.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction
